My name is Marisa Gilbert, and I am the founder of Gilbert Ledger Co. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over six years of experience in corporate and public accounting, I’ve managed complex financial reporting, auditing, and fund accounting for organizations of all sizes. Along the way, I saw how small business owners often struggled to find the same level of accuracy, organization, and support that larger companies take for granted.

  • No, I don’t provide tax preparation services. However, I ensure your books are accurate and tax-ready, making it easier for you or your CPA to file at year-end. I also have a few tax CPAs that I partner with and can recommend!

  • No, payroll services are not included. But I can help ensure payroll entries are properly recorded in your books if you use a payroll provider.

  • I offer flat-rate monthly packages starting at $300/month, depending on your needs and the size of your business. I also offer one-time clean-up/catch-up services. (See my Services page for details.)

  • Each package includes monthly transaction categorization, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and email support. Higher-tier packages include additional services like 1099 preparation.

  • Yes! I work virtually with clients across the United States.

  • I primarily use QuickBooks Online, but I’m flexible depending on your needs and can discuss other platforms if necessary.

  • The first step is to book a free consultation. We’ll discuss your business, your needs, and which package is the best fit for you. From there, I’ll guide you through a simple onboarding process.

  • Absolutely. I use secure, encrypted systems and follow strict confidentiality practices to protect your sensitive data.

  • Yes, all ongoing bookkeeping services require a monthly service agreement, but you’re never locked in long-term—you can cancel with 30 days’ notice.
